Social media is a terrific resource for global professionals to gather news, insights, and nuggets on working and living internationally. However, the cacophony of the many channels can sometimes be a challenging environment to navigate. From hashtags, to accounts, to lists, to moments, there are so many different ways to keep up with trending news that it can be a bit difficult to figure out who to follow.
Here are some of the accounts we think should matter to global leaders. You will get valuable information, quick tips, and sometimes entertaining tidbits around work and life in an international context. So check them out ans see how many of these accounts you want to follow.

David Livermore
David is president and partner at the Cultural Intelligence Center in East Lansing, MI, and a visiting scholar at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Before leading the Cultural Intelligence Center, he spent 20 years in leadership positions with a variety of nonprofit organizations around the world and taught at several universities. He says he is insatiably curious about people, cultures, the world.

Sue is the founder and principal consultant at Global Business Passport and the co-author of Business Passport to Japan, an essential guide for anyone doing business in Japan. Living a Japanese-American life, her posts are insightful for anyone interested in working with people from Japan or the U.S.

Hyde, a former high school teacher from the U.S. Southwest, runs The German Way Expat Blog, which provides a depth of resources about life and work in German-speaking Europe plus German language and culture.

Alan Headbloom
Alan is the principal of Headbloom Cross-Cultural Communication in Allendale, MI, and he facilitates conversations across ethnic, cultural, and linguistic barriers. For more than 30 years he has been helping foreign-born professionals communicate with increased comfort and accuracy when the stakes are high. Andy is a professor at Brandeis University in Boston and author of the two best-selling books Global Dexterity and Reach. He writes for the Harvard Business Review, and his work has been featured in the Economist, Fast Company, Fortune, the Financial Times, the Boston Globe, NPR, and the Voice of America. He helps individuals and teams reach their potential by learning to step outside their comfort zones.
